Abstract
The purpose of this work was to present information obtained experimentally by various
authors on the regularities of formation of close-packed swarf packages when drilling deep holes in
(3…4)d deep in various materials. The final choice of factors was carried out experimentally. When planning the experiment, all the
factors varied in turn in each separate series of experiments. A mathematical model based on experimental
data allows one to obtain a quantitative estimate of the quality of deep holes made by such methods.
The obtained experimental data with theoretical justification can be used to improve the
quality of machining. A technique for determining the experimental dependences is developed.
