Abstract
The aim of the paper is to investigate the properties of a bar-like image when applying various raster structures. Modern consumers of printing products are placing ever higher demands on the quality of finished printed products before the printing enterprises, and at the same time on the entire reproductive process. Several decades ago, the situation was somewhat different: in addition to lower quality requirements for printing from consumers, the entire cycle of the reproductive process was carried out within the framework of one enterprise. Although the technology processing of the graphic information of that time was laborious, but the proximity of all the links of the technological process made it possible to make prompt corrections, in the case of errors in color correction and color separation. Now in the printing industry there is a tendency to “division of production in space”. That is, there are special companies that deal only with image processing and their preparation for printing. There are enterprises dealing directly with printing and after printing processes. With this approach to the production process, the inevitable occurrence of difficulties in the interaction of individual links of the technological chain, including at the stage of processing of visual information. The need for color management systems capable of minimizing the difficulties of this kind is an urgent task.
