Abstract
The analysis of literature sources on the study of the friction of the rope-block, rope-pulley, which occurs in the contact pairs, is analyzed. Due to the fact that the wear process in the drive of lifting and transporting machines is characterized by the chipping of the particles from the steel rope and traction sheave, first we considered the friction types arising from the operation of the rope with the block: wear associated with the interaction substance and wear associated with mechanical damage, research, further work on the various grooves of blocks: V-shaped and round. The data of the blocks with the indication of the occurrence of ropes are given, due to the transverse elasticity and effective thrust. Considered the radial wear and in the direction of effective traction of pairs of rope-rolled block and the rope-leading pulley, made in the tribosystem, its size, and its description by various authors. At the end, various models of calculating wear, proposed by scientists, are presented.
