Verification and calibration of measuring instruments in the machine-building enterprise

Abstract

The article analyzes such important metrological works as verification and calibration. The
criteria by which the manufacture of machinery should be determined by are discussed, which of the
metrological work should be preferred. Examples of application of calibration results and calibration
of measuring geometric quantities. Was considered the new Law of Ukraine "On metrology and
metrological activity", which introduces a number of important changes compared to the previous
law. Such works as the metrological verification and calibration changed the definition and content of
their implementation. For example, to ensure the reliability of the control parameters and the results of
product testing of finished products the measuring equipment should be subject metrological control
in their operation. The results of testing and calibration of measuring equipment obtained and
executed at a much different rules. The article contains the analysis of the requirements of various
laws and making explanations for correct application of new concepts engineers at enterprises with a
view to ensuring the uniformity of measurements to produce quality products.
